The proposed scheme is likely to be built at the site of the current parking garage of Zaans Medical Centre (ZMC). The project involves demolition of the parking structure and building a new 40,000 square metre facility at its site.
The design concept for the new facility is centred on sustainability, quality and reliability. The scheme is being developed by ZMC, in an alliance with Vitaal ZorgVast, a subsidiary of BAM Utility. The duo will also maintain the facility for a term of 25-years. Construction on the hospital is slated for completion in 2016.
The new facility will supplement the capabilities of the existing Zaans Medical Centre, which has outgrown its capabilities.
