The project involves construction of two, 47-storey glass-encased luxury residential towers which are expected to soar upto 498 feet. Each glass tower will feature 450 rental apartments with a mix of studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units.
The development will include 70,000 square feet of upscale indoor and outdoor amenities, including an infinity pool for each tower and golf simulation area. It will also include a restaurant, snack kiosk, three-screen movie theatre, museum, and a public park. A park will be constructed between the two towers and will have space for a 7,000 square feet restaurant.
The towers will feature covered dog walking areas and pet spas, indoor and outdoor children’s play areas, 24/7 concierge and doorman service, as well as, package and dry cleaning reception areas and refrigerated storage.
The project is being developed by Fort Lee Redevelopment Associates, a partnership of SJP Residential Properties, Bergen County attorney James Demetrakis and real estate investment firm, Palisades Financial.
The construction work on the project is set to be completed by the end of 2014. The Modern makes up the eastern half of a 16-acre downtown mixed-use project south of the George Washington Bridge.
