The Terminal A facility is 30 years old and the renovation will give a customer experience consistent with the airport’s Terminal B, which was opened in November 2010.

The project will feature renovation of 12 restrooms, upgraded interior lighting along with finishes, fresh floorings, six new escalators, refurbished elevators, new fire sprinkler systems, new furniture, fixtures and fittings. There will also be access and queuing improvements to the TSA security checkpoint in the terminal.

Along with renovation at Terminal A, the project will include addition of various new eateries, as reported in Airport World. Ten F&B locations and seven retail stores will be opened in various phases in the next 15 months.

The renovation project is expected to last 18 months.
