The new campus of primary and secondary school of Jumeirah College will be located on the Al Khail Road, and will provide additional facilities for 2,300 students. The new campus will feature three main school groups, namely foundations, primary and secondary, which will sprawl over 42,500 square metre site.

The school will be a three-storey building, which will have a gross footplate of 30,000 square metre. All three groups have been designed as a standalone school-within-school and are set around the main shared spaces, which consist of a 600-seat auditorium, administration elements and a dining area, with a backdrop of sports fields. The new campus will also house a sports complex, which will be complete with two swimming pools, a gymnasium and training facilities.

The building has been designed in a way that reduces the solar gain and is positioned looking onto the courtyard, which filters light, fresh air and planting into the core building wings. The front of the building has a seven sand-coloured fin, which provides additional shading.

The construction of the new campus is currently underway. The phase I of the scheme, which involves foundation and secondary school stages, is expected to complete by September 2013. It is expected to be a showcase school for the charitable organisation GEMS Education.
