The construction of the new headquarters is staged in multiple phases, which will be built within the University Heights Science Park in Newark. The phase I of the development will involve construction of a five-storied, 70,000 square feet building. The phase I is scheduled for completion in early 2014.
The design of the building reveals an inspiration from the nature of Biotrial’s work. The headquarters will be a glass building, which will feature metal panels on two sides. These act as a ribbon that unifies the various elements. The metal frames will be installed on raised ground, which will render a sense of movement to the entire building.
The new building will incorporate several green elements and is being aspired to achieve LEED Silver certification.
The construction management services for the project will be provided by F.J. Sciame Construction Co., Incorporated. The first phase of the project is scheduled to break ground in the first quarter of 2013.
