Designed by Andrea Auletta, Starhotels E.c.ho Milano is a stylish hotel which has implemented eco-friendly policies, from low energy consumption technology to eco-sustainable materials, furnishings and fabrics.
All the 143 rooms of the hotel feature contemporary and eco-sustainable design with materials, furnishings and fabrics certified to stringent environmental standards. The rooms are personalised by floral photo-murals. When guests are not in their rooms, intelligent climatisation and lighting systems avoid waste of energy. The bathrooms have taps that reduce water consumption without compromising maximum comfort. A recycling system produces hygienically clean water for sanitary installations and irrigation systems.
All the rooms of the hotel offer a double bed or two singles featuring a wardrobe with a shelf for suitcases, a spacious desk and comfortable sofas or armchairs and large 32″ LCD televisions fixed to the walls. The ecological flooring is made of parquet-effect porcelain stoneware. The bathrooms are completely clad with wood-pattern porcelain stoneware to create a contemporary boiserie effect. The space is resonant with stainless steel and a large backlit mirror. A special speaker is connected to the television in the bedroom for the guests to listen to their favourite programs in the bathroom. All the Superior rooms span 18-21 square metres, Deluxe rooms span 21-25 square metres, Junior suites span 26-30 square metres while Suites are spread over 32-38 square metres.
Starhotels E.c.ho Milano features Orto Green Food & Mood restaurant, which is a scenographic and bright space. It offers ample windows and two walls with backlighted murals which reproduce a lush corner of vegetable garden. The murals light changes with the passing of the time and recalls sunrise, noon and sunset. The restaurant is also decorated with large light fixtures made with thin leaves of wood, almost transparent, like petals of flowers.
The hotel also offers five conference rooms which have a built-in flexibility to seat 30 to 80 delegates. It has an overall capacity of 240 seats with multi-functional hi-tech facilities.
The group’s Starhotels E.c.ho. Milano property beat competition in its category from the Radisson Blu Hotel, East Midlands Airport, England and the New Hotel in Athens, Greece.
