The major renovation and expansion projects will be undertaken at Colmer and Gautier Middle Schools, Gautier & Pascagoula High Schools, and Trent Lott Academy.
First project at Gautier High School is expected to cost $2.1 million to $2.4 million, and will add six classrooms, two PC labs, a work room, a storage room, hall restrooms and additional support space. The second project will include construction of a playing field house and coaching facility, which can accommodate a room with lockers, restroom and showers, an instrumentation space, a laundry space, strength and learning area, and coach offices. This project is anticipated to cost $2.2 million to $2.5 million, and also includes an alternate to construct a new band bleacher, a guests concession building and land and lighting enhancements.
Pascagoula High School will get all the same amenities as the Gautier building, with that project’s alternate to add new ticket booths and site and fencing improvements. The project is expected to cost $1.9 million to $.2.2 million.
Expansions at Trent Lott Academy will include construction of two new classrooms, a work space, a storeroom, a brand new band hall with workplace and space for storing, hall restrooms, renovations to two existing classrooms and alternative support areas. This project is expected to cost $1.4 million to $1.6 million, and will also convert the second floor band hall space into a coaching and break area.
The smallest of the projects is the renovation of the gym restrooms at Colmer and Gautier middle schools, which will cost $200,000 to $240,000.
