Located at the main entrance of LEGOLAND California, the 250-bedroom hotel would be built entirely from Lego blocks. The LEGO themed hotel will feature brightly colored, interactive LEGO décor, a pool and lounge area, patio, event space and buffet restaurant.
The three-storey hotel features a striking dragon at the entrance. The lobby is adorned with a gigantic LEGO castle under the painted ceiling of blue sky. The entire hotel is themed around the LEGO concept. All the 250 themed guest rooms are decorated based on three popular LEGO lines – Pirate, Kingdom and Adventure. Parents have an option of staying in the Kingdom themed room in a queen-size bed, while kids can stay in a separate area with a bunk bed, pull-out trundle bed and TV.
Adventure loving guests can choose adventurous themed rooms decorated with LEGO jungle animals and other characters accompanied with Johnny Thunder. Guests staying in pirate themed rooms can experience pirate setting with skull and treasure map rugs, along with LEGO parrot companions.
LEGOLAND hotel will open on 5 April 2013. It has a reported investment of £30 million ($47 million).
