Butler & Willow were asked to design and install a scheme that would provide updated and improved storage and picking facilities for County Supplies new 22,000 square feet facility in Calverton.

Butler & Willow began work on the new scheme in April 2012. They created few budget costs and designs, which featured pallet racking, shelving and a mezzanine floor. Over several months and many designs later, the final design included creation of a mezzanine floor which doubled the size of the hand-picking operation. Over 500 bays of shelving and a pallet racking scheme was installed at the new facility to store over 1200 pallets.

The project is part of Nottinghamshire County Council’s budget-saving programme to make better use of its property portfolio to reduce overall running costs and reinvest money in frontline services.

County Supplies – part of Nottinghamshire County Council – provides office supplies, equipment and school-based resources for public and voluntary sector organisations across the East Midlands.
