The design is a key part of the $70 million project, which enables the university athletics to generate income that can be reinvested in scholarships and facilities.
The new pavilion will be built at the west side of the Nippert Stadium. The project includes 100,000 square foot expansion with addition of about 1,200 box seats, 44 loge boxes and 28 private suites, according to a report submitted to UC trustees. Other premium amenities are also planned.
Once the UC trustees approves the design, a fundraising campaign will be announced for the Nippert expansion. The project is scheduled to complete in August 2015.
