Located at Baptist Mills, on the border of Easton and Lawrence Hill, the new library is named after the nearby junction 3 of the M32 motorway.

Created with modern design elements, the new library features bright and welcoming children’s section which has a reading tunnel with slide. It also features learning and training rooms, including an ICT suite.

The library offers 10 computers for adults and children to use along with free Wi-Fi connection. It also offers latest fiction and non-fiction and children’s DVDs.

The library forms part of the wider £10 million ($15.108 million) partnership initiative between the city council, Knightstone Housing Association and the Big Lottery Community Libraries Programme. In addition to the new library, the wider J3 site features 59 affordable homes, seven commercial units and a new public open space.

The new Junction 3 library was opened to the public on 19 March 2013.
