Being built as part of the Blackburn with Darwen Building Schools for the Future programme, the £9.5 million ($14.46 million) Our Lady and St John Catholic College project will provide a new, three-storied teaching block along with a new activity studio and changing facilities.

A triple height central atrium will be constructed on the main teaching block, which will provide a central space locating dining facilities at its base with teaching rooms accessed from the gallery that circulate the atrium.

Creating state-of-the-art facilities, the project, which is due for completion in autumn 2013, will provide access to the best education possible.
