Upon completion, the shopping centre will have a gross floor space of 78,000 square meters, out of which 24,400 square meters will be retail space. The retail areas will be located over three floors.
The shopping centre will also have a parking garage with 800 parking spaces for customers. Upon completion of the project, the Mercaden Böblingen shopping center will house a mix of 100 retailers, restaurants, and service providers.
The shopping centre was commissioned by the project company PBC Project GP, which is a joint venture between Pramerica Real Estate Investors London and hkm Management.
Most of the interior work will be carried out by local firms. The project is scheduled to be completed by late 2014.
