As part of the major renovation, the complex will see new centre entries, awning finishes and lighting. There would be upgrades to the food court, and the lifts and parenting room. The food court is said to be Adelaide’s largest food court, with the upgrade aimed at giving it an ‘urban’ feel.

The atrium of Myer Centre will be adorned with new artwork from local artists. The space will also employ new furniture pieces.

The project, which is subject to council approvals, is expected to begin later in 2013. The complex owners Colonial First State Global Asset Management will provide around $10 million for the revamp.

The complex was opened in June 1991.
