Created with bold and modern aesthetic, the YOKO table lamp exhibits an ethereal, and simple yet sophisticated look in its appearance. Challenging the archetypal form of a traditional table lamp, the YOKO has been designed with a transparent piece, which rests on an illuminating body.
Taking inspiration from the image of a bubble about to burst resting on the light source, the YOKO table lamp balances simplicity and lightness.
Possessing a Scandinavian style by underlining the choice of different colours, YOKO recalls the Northern light in a way where the tint of the transparent body reflects pale hues when the lamp is illuminated.
Conceived out of in-depth research of materials and form, the YOKO is based on the blown moulding technique along with the use of Polymethilmethacrylate material.
The YOKO table lamp was presented at the Milan Furniture Fair, which was held from 9-14 April 2013 in Milan, Italy.
