The renovation of Daniel-Meyer Coliseum will help the university in achieving the goal of optimising its physical campus.

With the renovation project, the men’s and women’s basketball programs would receive new locker rooms and team meeting rooms, as well as, an increased sports medicine centre. In addition, visiting teams would also have new locker rooms.

The new building facade for Daniel-Meyer Coliseum would architecturally complement Amon G. Carter Stadium and the TCU campus. The interior would have a lower playing surface to increase courtside seating and provide a more intimate atmosphere. A new courtside club lounge would be constructed on floor level.

New concession stands and restrooms, as well as, increased points-of-sale will further enhance the fans’ experience, while wider concourses and multiple public entries would ease congestion.

Additional features of the proposed new Daniel-Meyer Coliseum are a TCU Athletics Hall of Fame display on the concourse level, offices for Olympic sports and administration and a larger main ticket office to support both DMC and Amon G. Carter Stadium.

Ed and Rae Schollmaier Basketball Complex has agreed to provide $10 million for the renovation project. Construction work will begin once all the funds are received.
