Located in Mercer County in Plainsboro, New Jersey the new headquarters spans over 731,000-square-feet.
Designed to promote innovation, teamwork, and employee wellness, the new headquarters features a state-of-the-art cafeteria, a one-mile scenic walking path, and special quiet focus areas where employees can work effectively.
Utilising recycled and locally-sourced materials, the LEED Silver-certified campus is fully powered by renewable energy from wind, solar, and hydro sources, which will reduce 30% of energy costs. The new US headquarters is also consistent with Novo Nordisk’s Triple Bottom Line (TBL) approach to business.
The office building is the result of a $225 million redevelopment project, which utilised an existing structure and sustainable materials to limit environmental impact. Novo Nordisk initially plans to occupy 75% of the building’s total capacity, leaving room for future expansion.
