Challenging the conventional views of kitchen’s interior space, the new conceptual kitchen features the water point at a height where they had to stretch to reach the faucet. The cook top is installed at the feet while the countertop is designed as a welcoming place to take a seat.

Assembled from bulthaup b3 elements of varying heights, colours and materials, the installation is arranged on steps and platforms made from concrete, stone, brand-new hand-painted lava tiles and well-worn wood floorboards.

Reflecting the ideas of 21st century living space, the conceptual kitchen showcases the full potential of the flexible, ever-changing b3 system. Available in a range of widths, heights, depths, materials, surface finishes and colours, the various elements can be combined in a number of ways.

Created with different designs, each bulthaup kitchen is manufactured in line with the requirements of individuals. Keeping in view the individual preferences, the conceptual kitchen also features a selection of accessories and utensils, which are arranged according to their function.

Apart from that the installation also includes a one-of-a-kind multifunction panel wall, which can be used to store valuable heirlooms to contemporary objects. Cherished items can be showcased in an open-fronted brass cube, which can be positioned freely on the horizontal plane.

In another section, the panels slide open vertically with a gentle touch. A pull-out on the bottom reveals functional prisms lined with saddle leather, where a selection of fine wines, spirits and drinking glasses can be stored.

The Via Durini installation showcased how the b3 system can be used to create an architectural landscape by experimenting with materials, surface finishes, colours and a variety of forms.
