The aim of renovation is to provide each patient with the most personal and up-to-date pregnancy and childbirth care possible.

The Birth Place currently has 22 private birthing suites for labor, delivery and postpartum care; two modern surgical suites for Caesarean deliveries; and a 15-bed special care nursery staffed and equipped to care for infants who are premature or ill at birth.

After the completion of renovation, the Birth Place will feature luxurious labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) rooms furnished with warm and relaxing design elements. All the rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a comfortable sofa bed for the mother’s designated support person.

In addition to patient care areas, the renovation project also includes modern nursing stations, new flooring and wall coverings, and remodeled family waiting areas, apart from private bathrooms in all LDRP rooms.

The project is expected to be completed in September 2013.
