The second phase of the Gallagher Shopping Park would largely comprise of a £10 million ($15.34 million) store that has been pre-let to B&Q, the UK’s largest home improvement and garden centre retailer; a Costa Coffee Drive Thru Restaurant; and a Marstons Family Pub and Restaurant.

To be built by BAM Construction, the store would be spread over 65,000 square feet and will feature an external garden centre, a builders’ yard, and a 340-space surface car park. The second phase of the Gallagher Shopping Park is scheduled for completion in November 2013.

Phase three of the project has planning consent for 110,000 square feet of non-food retail warehousing together with full cover mezzanines.

Gallagher Developments is developing Gallagher Shopping Park, which is located adjacent to the A8 and overlooks the River Clyde. The first phase of the scheme comprised a 110,000 square feet Tesco Extra food store which opened for trade in 2007.

Gallagher has been working with Inverclyde Council on the regeneration of the former Scott Lithgow and East Glen Yards in Port Glasgow. The company has invested more than £40 million ($60.9 million) in the region including realignment of the A8 trunk road, providing a new civic square; undertaking environmental improvements to the foreshore of the River Clyde; and building a Tesco Extra store.
