Forming a comfortable, welcoming and inspiring space, the building has been designed as an attractive, modern civic building, which brings together council and community facilities.

Created for West Lothian Council, the building is a multi-stakeholder two-storey building, which includes a public ground floor level with community facilities, library, council services and café, and an upper level of open plan offices.

Featuring sustainable, attractive, spacious and practical design elements, the Bathgate Partnership Centre has been designed to meet the challenges of 21st century. The centre has also incorporated a low energy design focusing on maximising natural daylight and ventilation, use of sustainable materials, and reduction of energy consumption. The building was opened on 28 October 2011 at a cost of £7 million ($10.6 million).
