The King Khaled Airport Terminal-5 project will involve a 100,000 square metre passenger terminal along with various auxiliary facilities. The project also involves a 90,000 square metre and 3,000-vehicle capacity multi-storey car park, fire brigade building, operation centre, power station, apron, air side infrastructure, and the elevated roads and infrastructure work that will join Terminal-5 to the existing terminals.
The design of the new terminal would be as per international standards, and conform to local culture and user requirements. Expected to feature an authentic architectural design, the new terminal will also be integrated seamlessly with existing terminals at the airport.
The terminal building will be completed within 18 months.
