Designed by Aedas, the Blackpool Council offices forms part of the Talbot Gateway scheme. The completion of the first phase will create 126,000-sqaure-foot contemporary office accommodation.
Blackpool Council will occupy an area of the office space, which will serve 142,000 residents in a more efficient way. Further office space will be available for third parties.
Apart from that the scheme will also feature three ground floor retail units, totalling a further 15,000 square feet, and 5,000 square foot office accommodation at ground floor level.
Once complete, Talbot Gateway CBD scheme will form new retail, commercial and community space, along with parking and transport facilities. Being constructed by Eric Wright Construction, the office scheme is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating.
The project is scheduled to complete in March 2014.
