The store will showcase Le Voyage de Napoleon, the exclusive travel-retail collection of Courvoisier, comprising VS, VSOP and XO cognacs.

The store is designed as an event shop, which will take visitors on a multi-sensory journey where travellers can taste luxury cognacs straight from the cask.

The store is resplendent with aromas of the key notes of Courvoisier XO such as, crème brûlée, candied orange, and iris flowers, dispersed through a specially designed unit.

It showcases tools used in the production process and bottles of eaux-de-vie illustrating the craftsmanship of the cognac house. An in-store video provides the history of the brand.

The exclusive store will also showcase two additional marques from its range, L’Initiale de Courvoisier and L’Essence de Courvoisier, which would be available for purchase.

Glen Williams, Maxxium Travel Retail managing director, said that opening of the store is opportunistic as Germany is the key market for cognac and Munich being one of the busiest airports in the world.

Eurotrade purchasing director Gerhard Haeusler added: “The Courvoisier event shop is a welcome addition to Eurotrade and the airport as it provides the opportunity for travellers to explore the new range as well as encourages trial and purchase.”

Courvoisier opened travel-retail outlets across Europe, Dubai and North America in early 2013.
