WHO:
Columbian-born Heidi Jalkh is an industrial and product designer based in Buenos Aires. After studying industrial design at the Palermo University and doing her master’s degree in morphology at the University of Buenos Aires, she stayed on in Argentina and now teaches at both universities.

Laser cut from MDF and acrylic, AdhoMukha is a stand for notebook computers. The product is designed to eliminate waste, using 90 per cent of the material required to make it in the product itself while the remaining 10 per cent is turned into a case for transportation and storage.

Shelf Sin60 is a modular shelving system made from a single piece of folded sheet metal. The product can be assembled in various con¬figurations and does not require tools to assemble.

Made of fabric stitched to plywood, Fibra is a table which can fold away for ease of storage and transportation. Due to the low technology of the manufacturing process, it can be made and assembled in a single place, minimizing transportation. The materials are not joined using a chemical process, so they can be easily separated for ease of recycling.
