says Bruce Munro
This place could be metta bhavana made solid, a building that is about drawing light back into the world and has inner sense of peace and unity. The building seems visually complex, yet is functionally simple. As there is no electricity, during the day the Metta Bhavana would be illuminated by sunlight split by prisms to create a spectrum of colour. During the night, only beeswax candles would be used to light up both the interior and exterior of the building. Although the space is partly inspired by metta bhavana, the Buddhist meditation technique for loving and kindness, it would welcome everyone from all faiths who wants to either be submissive to the spiritual qualities of the space or learn to meditate.
