says Luci Roper, of Luci Living Design

Our idea is for an eco-friendly commercial space, which would be ideal for any busy inner-city. The main roof dome would be clad in solar panels to provide an alternative source of energy, which would be used to power the compact fluorescent lights in every room. Artificial turf would be used for all communal floors, to create a more ergonomic working environment, and all furnishings would be produced from suppliers approved by the Forest Stewardship Council. One wall in each room would be covered by an indoor vertical vegetable garden, providing a cheap source of nutrition for staff and also serving as an intriguing visual enhancement. The cafe would serve Fair Trade foods and include a ‘chill-out zone’ with long trestle tables to encourage staff interaction and socialisation. As a result, our eco-friendly offices would promote employee satisfaction while also allowing corporations to meet their demanding social responsibilities.
