After a construction project that lasted for about a year, a new entrance on the south-facing side of the Tucson Mall was reopened last week. Several new stores have opened at the mall – including United Colors of Benetton, Swarovski Crystal, Beyond Wax, Sephora, Perfume Paradise and Skechers – had their openings in the mall last year. A number of other stores and eateries like The Cheesecake Factory, REI, Shane’s Rib Shack, Papaya and J. Jill are expected to open next year.

The renovation and the opening of the new main entrance are a part of the 120,000 square feet redevelopment by the north-side mall’s owner, General Growth Properties Inc.

The mall changes were designed by ELS Architecture and Urban Design. Ledcor was the general contractor for the project.
