“We are pleased to announce that the renovations to our 206-room hotel and the addition of our new conference center were completed on schedule,” said Johnny Hill, the hotel’s general manager in a media statement. “The Holiday Inn Pigeon Forge now exceeds the high standards of the Holiday Inn brand, making it the premier full-service hotel in the area.”
The renovation includes the addition of 8,500 square feet conference center and 800 square feet boardroom. The conference center and boardroom are well equipped with audiovisual tools, Internet access and videoconferencing capabilities. Guestrooms now have new furnishings, new countertops, cabinets and fixtures in bathrooms. Hotel corridors, meeting rooms and public areas were also part of the makeover.
The exterior renovation included new landscaping and enhanced lighting throughout the grounds and parking areas. The lobby includes a large freestanding fireplace with natural stone and native wood accents.
