As part of the prestigious development at London, Biggin Hill Airport, made famous by the historic role it played during the Second World War, market leading column casings manufacturer Contour Casings were chosen to supply a range of encasements systems.

The in-house design team at Contour worked closely with the client to deliver products which exactly matched all scheme criteria. A high-quality column casing solution was required for the problem of exposed building structures, which was robust, yet aesthetically pleasing.
Contour specified GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum) column casings for the executive passenger lounge, as they would yield clean, crisp lines and a flawless monolithic finish, ultimately enhancing the building interior. Brushed stainless steel column casings were identified for external applications, due to their professional appearance and hard-wearing qualities, requiring minimal lifetime maintenance.
