Artist and designer, Chris Labrooy is setting the bar high in the contemporary art scene. In his latest project, Labrooy displays a collection of iconic 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS vehicles along sunny Palm Springs, California.

From 12 cars immersed in a pool of water to net caught pink porches, the images allow viewers to see the luxury cars in a different light. But Porhe enthusiasts do not despair. Labrooy uses 3D-modelling and photographs to create this hyper real imagery.

Labrooys' series of ‘Auto Elasticity’ began years ago in 2012, displaying tangled up cars in Tokyo and taffy-like vehicles stretched and folded. Below is a collection of images from his latest project.

To make matters even more mind boggling, some of the art also includes animation with one porche hopping forward and backwards and the other, bending back and forth.

There’s almost no telling if the cars are real (we’d like to think not), but all we can say is that it has made for some truly remarkable art.
