Accion Real Estate is a part of Spanish conglomerate Acciona, SA, and is active in the residential and commercial real estate development.
The 54,500 square meter mall features 165 brands, a hypermarket, an 18-screen movie complex and parking for more than 2,800 cars. Splau has an open architecture in which stores make a two-story ring.
The mall enjoys a prime location, and offers a broad range of leisure, restaurant and fashion options. It will serve around one million people within a radius of 10 minutes and more than 4,250,000 people in a half-hour radius. About 80% of the floor space at the Splau Shopping Mall has already been snapped-up.
All Acciona Real Estate projects incorporate sustainability principles following three major lines of action: energy efficiency, efficient use of water, and clean construction and sustainable design. Acciona Real Estate buildings are designed to save energy, and feature materials and devices that ensure overall energy efficiency, limiting heating demand through passive insulation techniques and materials. Bioclimatic architecture technologies, efficient heating and air conditioning systems, renewable energies, efficient lighting, energy efficient electrical appliances and low-consumption elevators are used.
To ensure the efficient use of water, buildings feature faucets with shut-off valves and double-flushing cisterns, while gardens and grounds are fitted with automated watering systems, native plants and recycling and reuse systems for gray water and rainwater for watering communal areas.
The firm uses materials that have a low impact on the environment. It also makes use of alternative systems for chlorine-free pool-water quality and waste management.
