Tulpehocken administrators estimate that the design and construction of the complete stadium would cost an estimated $4 million. The stadium will feature a synthetic eight-lane track and a field of lighting with many optional features.
Options include a 7,500 square feet field house, grandstands and a press box. Presently, the stadium features a cinder track of a non-standard length, which cannot be used for meets.
The city might have to borrow about $4.25 million to complete the stadium project. The stadium proposal faced opposition from the residents owing to the present economic condition of the city.
