Followed by extensive renovations of the executive and deluxe rooms, Qualmark awarded four stars to the hotel. The group plans to continue with the refurbishment of the property in 2009.
Located within a five minute drive of the Auckland International and Domestic Terminals and only 15km to the heart of Auckland City, the hotel has 193 guest rooms, including two suites. Most of the rooms have private patios overlooking English Garden or the pool courtyard, and are away from flight paths and road noise. The hotel also offers a gym, sauna and outdoor pool.
Brett Stuart, general manager of the hotel, says that the upgrading and refurbishment program undertaken in 2008, has been acknowledged and rewarded with attaining this level of accreditation.
