The extended range of Alutec now includes a curved profile fascia and a planked soffit system. The curved fascia gives specifiers the option of a softer profile, which is suitable for those seeking an alternative to the traditional angular design. The new planked soffit system accurately reproduces the historic shiplap aesthetic, for those requiring a more traditional look.
The soffit and fascia range is available in various colours. All of these can be colour matched to any Alutec rainwater system. The product is designed to be virtually maintenance free, with the application of the high quality fade resistant PVDF paint finish. The incorporation of a nano self-cleaning additive resists the build-up of dust, grime and moss.
Manufactured to meet the highest standards of durability and reliability, Alutec’s soffit and fascia range has been designed as a lightweight alternative to PVC or sheet aluminium solutions. Comprising a recycled polyethylene core, with an aluminium outer skin, the system is claimed to be extremely durable, with a life expectancy of 50 years or more.
The entire system is fully recyclable. The core is made from non-toxic recycled polyethylene, while the aluminium skin is also 100% recyclable. Thanks to the layered integral structure, the Alutec range is also extremely strong. It is only 4mm thick, and in most cases, does not require a backing board. This simplifies the installation process, reduces costs and makes the product suitable for fitting over existing wood or PVC systems without reducing tile overhang.
The extended range will be showcased on stand S1612 at Ecobuild, where visitors will also be able to view installation demonstrations. Other products from Alutec, such as the Evolve, Aligator and Traditional rainwater ranges would also be showcased. Ecobuild 2013 would be held at ExCeL, London from 5-7 March 2013.
