ama has incorporated a hi-tech contemporary Asian design in the stylish Greek hotel. The restaurant is spread over 230 square meters of space for internal dining and 150 square meters for external dining in the hotel’s courtyard. It can be entered directly from the hotel and also directly off street.
Conceived as a dynamic masculine space, the restaurant space features slick black and chrome furnishings. The seating is arranged in a central sculptural element, which creates a floating illusion within the charcoal anodized box. The seating booths range from couples to large group tables. Flooring of the restaurant is adorned with the manga-inspired carpet.
With a bold and imposing design, there is a special focus on the details with tattooed graphics on the upholstery and an open grid ceiling. The graphically illuminated wall panels and engraved detailing on the tables convey a strong sense of layering within the space. The ‘manga’ interpretations are also seen within the cocktail lounge, combining the Asian street culture and sophistication.
