Based on the theme to explore and experiment the relationship between design and craftsmanship, the Analogia project has used new evocative visual language. The installation is composed of a black vase drawn in the air, a white concrete table with irregular edges, and white 20 x 20 cm tiles.
The Vase with Flower, created with an original installation technique, is drawn in the air hovering between flat and 3D. It plays with the relationship between material and concept.
The First Supper table has been designed with asymmetrical features that recall childhood gadgets. The irregular surface seems to have a smooth consistency on which signs of a supper have been left. Depending on the light pointed on it, familiar shapes appear on the table suggesting a story happened around it.
The Storywall tile surface features archaeological fragments and ruins from the Museo del Castello Sforzesco di Milano, Museo Civico Archeologico di Milano, and from Musei Capitolini di Roma. Adding a new historical design element, the tiles feature shapes coming from different times. It recalls the past, which is still living in the present time.
Virtual digital models of the archaeological artefacts have been acquired by using a cutting age technique and the prototypes have been used as ceramic moulds.
In 2010, Organisation in Design created their new project: Ventura Lambrate, a new area for design in Milan, during the period of the Salone del Mobile. Ventura Lambrate’s main focus is on creativity, quality, experimentation, and content. It showcases renowned established designers, emerging young designers, creative labels, interesting initiatives, small surprises and exciting presentations.
