Debuted at ISH Frankfurt 2013 (12-16 March), Kartell by Laufen bath project has been presented at the Kartell flagship store in the Milan Furniture Fair, which was held from 9-14 April in Milan, Italy.
Imagined with the integration of new design and quality of material, the Kartell by Laufen has been designed by the Milan-based designers Ludovica and Roberto Palomba.
Designed with integrated architecture and interconnected ecosystem, the Kartell by Lauf features washbasins, sanitary ware, faucets, units, shower bases, bathtubs, and lights and accessories coexisting with the maximum flexibility, which change their appearance to meet the taste requirements of all.
Featuring glassy transparencies of polycarbonate and the bare edges of totemic floor-mounted washbasin, it presents a design marked by minimal, moon-like, rarefied environments. The ambered plastic, the round softness of the washbasin and the infinity pool styled bathtub adds to the glamour element of the bath area.
The rigid geometry of the ceramic items is tempered by the multicoloured lightness of the plastic elements. Reinventing the primary colours, the scheme is available in the tones of the earth, the oranges of sand, steel blue, warm whites tending towards yellow, and cold ones turning into blue.
Created to meet the wide-ranging appeal of the bathroom, it took more than three years to develop the project. In the Kartell by Laufen bathroom project, the SaphirKeramik, a material that allows performance characteristics, has been introduced. The bath project has also taken care of the environmental impacts.
