The collection has been creation by a collaboration between Esti Barnes and Bart Goderis. Flux is hand-crafted in Alpaca to provide an elegant and super-soft feel. Use of Alpaca also makes the range robust, hypoallergenic, and naturally insulating while offering water repelling and pilling resisting properties.
The line uses conventional methods to create hardy floorcoverings in a flatweave or a bouclé pile yet dons a silk-like smooth finish.
The line includes a host of designs like Blend, Solid, Pavé and Granite. Blend makes use of the colour gradation method and comes in three undyed Alpaca tones including steel, clay, and oak. Solid features undyed Alpaca’s subtle single tones in slate, earth, and straw.
Pavé imbibes a block-style weave pattern with strong textures. It features dyed wool set against a base in grey or beige. The range is available in hues of dawn, dusk, twilight, sunrise, as well as sunset. Granite incorporates flecked tone completed by a finish in Bouclé loop pile. The collection synchronises Alpaca and wool while offering colour options in sand, coral and ocean.
Flux cam be custom-tailored in a host of dimensions depending on individual tastes of the customers and comes at a cost ranging from £537 ($841.33) per square metre including VAT.
