Launched at Decorex 2012, the design of Epernay routes its inspiration to the rich Hollywood glamour. The new lighting uses Effervescence glass supplied by De Ferranti, which is noted for its luminescent texture.
The Epernay wall light also has a close cousin called Reims wall light, which has no steel frame. The dimension of the Epernay lamp is 30cm h x 22cm w; while the Reims lights are 25cm h x 20cm w. The light projection of the lamp is 12cm.
The lighting opens a new domain for the handmade bubble glass, which until now has been used as wall surfaces and tiles. A larger wall light and pendant light are also being developed currently as well as an IPX4-rated bathroom version.
