The new Angelika Film Center & Cafe will be an eight-screen multiplex and will be marked by plush stadium designed seating, wall-to-wall screens and the latest in digital projection and sound. Accessible by public transportation, such as the Dunn Loring – Merrifield Metro Stop (Orange Line), the new theatre enjoys proximity to Mosaic.
The theatre will be a three-storey sleek building, which in addition to the screens, will also feature a glass enclosed lobby which will accommodate a Café, a Lounge and a creative Concession Stand. The lobby will have a three-tiered crystal chandelier accented in blue neon. It will also feature a dramatic oversized illuminated rendering of the winged face of Angelika. The new theatre, like other Angelika theatres in the US, will also have other signature design elements of the brand.
The Café, Lounge and Concession Stand of Angelika at Mosaic will serve gourmet modern-global fusion menu developed by celebrity Chef Lee Anne Wong. The mezzanine Lounge, overlooking the lobby, will serve drinks and gourmet bar snacks. The Café will serve desserts and handcrafted coffee and espresso drinks; while the Concession Stand will offer traditional movie snacks.
