Artek has announced the reintroduction of several products from its archive to celebrate its 90th anniversary.

A selection of Aalto designs will return as limited anniversary editions or standard products. The reintroductions acknowledge Aino and Alvar Aalto, co-founders of Artek and influential figures in mid-20th-century design.

The Screen 100, a room divider with a soft undulating form, will be available in four heights: 100cm, 130cm, 150cm, and 180cm. The screen can be rolled up for storage and shaped to fit various spaces. It is made from Finnish pinewood, differing from the birchwood typically associated with Aalto furniture.

Cabinet 250 will return to the standard Artek collection following the success of a limited edition released as part of the Artek + Moomin collection earlier in 2025.

Two special anniversary editions of Stool X602 will be introduced in limited quantities, featuring the ‘X-leg’, a significant late innovation by Alvar Aalto. The hexagonal seat top will feature a ‘curly birch’ veneer, applied using a marquetry technique. Curly birch is a rare variant of Finnish silver birch, characterised by wavy, irregular rings.

The stool will be available in two models: one entirely honey-stained and another with a honey-stained seat top and natural lacquered legs. Each model will be limited to 90 individually numbered pieces.

All products are made in Finland and will be available for purchase from 15 October 2025.
