The renovation will lead to the creation of various amenities such as dugouts, a new grandstand, as well as press box in the baseball stadium. The project will also result in the construction of a suite, along with a new back stop and netting system. Further, plan for installation of a new lighting system is under consideration.
The stadium will be rebranded as the Karras Park following the completion of the makeover. The playing surface of the remodelled property will retain the Ronken Field name. The project has already received a major gift from Augustana alumnus Don Karras and his wife Donna.
The revamp work is slated to commence by mid-2012 and be over by 2012 end.
