Sunshine Coast Regional Council Mayor Bob Abbot said the upgrades would significantly enhance the traveling experience for commuters, visitors and staff with a greater choice of shops and facilities.
The airport’s general manager Peter Pallot said a significant change for the airport is that all shops will be located in the departure and will be accessible to both passengers and guests. Pallot says, “The terminal redevelopment incorporates a unique rainforest walk, adding to the use of natural light that captures that special Sunshine Coast feel.”
