The pipeline scheme will be developed on the site of the former Hull FC rugby stadium, on Airlie Street in the East Yorkshire city. The new free school will consist of a two-storey entrance building, which will accommodate sports facilities, a dining room, a learning resource centre and administrative spaces.

Located beyond entrance building will be the teaching block, a three-storey building, which will be equipped with modern learning environments and hi-tech IT suites. The design of the new building will reflect both the heritage of the site and the architecture in the area.

The scheme is likely to add to the building landscape of the area. Construction on the scheme is scheduled to begin in January 2013, and is due for completion in January 2014.

The new facility will initially have a capacity for 120 students, which will be increased to 600 students by 2017. The facility will entail a capital outlay of £8 million ($12.88 million).
