The new store encompasses an area 1.1-million square feet. The interior décor of seven floors of the store has been designed by Barriscale Design Studio. The decor spanned restaurant and retail space spread across the present refurbished building and Shinsegae’s new building. Renovations also includes addition of three new retail floors and a seven-storey parking garage to the store.
Barriscale’s design places customer circulation at the core of the design to create a unified customer experience. The store also features two atriums that have been developed to act as public gathering spaces. The interior incorporates a contemporary look to cater to the growing young urban population.
Barriscale Design Studio had earlier done the planning, interior design and visual merchandising for Shinsegae’s Yeongdeungpo branch in Seoul, South Korea.
