The new structure accommodates 27 offices as well as a mixed-use meeting room. It is equipped with a host of eco-friendly features including a building envelope which runs low on energy consumption. The envelope cuts down loss of heat and minimises the amount of air leak.
The design of the building allows optimum penetration of natural light. It also comprises daylight sensors which adjust light depending on the availability of natural light and other sensor-controlled lighting fixtures based on occupancy. The lighting sensors slash energy usage adding to the facility’s sustainability. In addition, the facility utilises water-saving and waste-reducing materials and systems.
The new facility is expected to achieve LEED Silver certification from the US Green Building Council.
