Reported to be the largest speculative Grade A office building in the UK outside London, the Grade A office development is a 200,000 square feet facility, which marks the completion of the city’s Exchange business district.
Adjacent to the city centre world heritage site, the development is set in the shadow of Edinburgh castle. It is designed as a split between two buildings, Atria One and Atria Two. Atria One has been designed to provide highly efficient, flexible floorplates over seven floors and the smaller Atria Two has been designed to provide office space split over two levels.
Designed with sustainable commercial design elements, Atria One is targeting to achieve BREEAM Excellent rating. Its sustainable elements includes green sedum roofs, low E glazing, energy efficient lifts, electric car charging spaces and an abundance of cycle spaces.
The Grade A office building celebrated the opening ceremony on 2 May 2013.
