More than 500 square metre of flooring was installed to existing timber and newly laid screeded subfloors in the school’s Sports Centre to construct new changing rooms, showers and circulation areas.
Hard-wearing Altro Walkway is a 2mm safety flooring, and is designed to provide lifelong slip and abrasion resistance, making it suitable for the new fitness studio. Designed with excellent durability, it also has built-in chemical and indentation resistance, and a life expectancy of around 15 years. The flooring is offered in bright and subtle colours with additional decorative chipped options also available.
Altro Walkway has a palette of 24 colours to provide complete design flexibility.
For wet and dry areas, such as the changing rooms, Altro Aquarius was chosen. Perfect for barefoot and shoe use, it enables the installation of one product and is suitable for any type of shoe from hard and soft soled to rubber and trainers. This 2mm thick safety flooring offers a rich palette of warm and friendly colours, with non-sparkle and non-chipped variants available too.
The latest installation was undertaken by Neofloors Limited. Various other Altro products have been used at Bedford Modern prior to this latest installation. Altro Suprema was the choice for a stylish new extension to the school and Altro MondoSport was used in the initial renovation of the sports hall.
