Said to be Bristol’s first craft beer and pizza bar, Beerd is designed for a younger crowd with a relaxed and welcoming feel. The designers have incorporated industrial features, such as bare boards, and sandblasted brickwork in the décor, which have been softened by bespoke wallpaper.
The pub offers guests to choose from nine keg beers, dispensed by a ‘US styled’ tap-fitted, Manhattan water tower-inspired back bar fitting. To further create an American feel, the pub’s décor include Retro beermat wallpaper, which face the exposed brick-work. Oversize metal lamps are hung over the tables.
For seating, the pub offers colourful 20th century chairs mixed with more luxurious upholstered booths. Handlebar covers and cricket bat grips make a playful appearance on the casks served from above a bar that is made from pieces of wood including two halves of an old door, which is a contrast to the colourful plastic bar stools.
Patrons can enjoy a pint, half and even the new one-third and two-third pint measures of beer, which is a unique feature of the pub. Beerd offers craft-brewed beers not only from West, but also from the US and elsewhere. The beers are available in keg, cask or bottle.
